Recently I've had several people ask me about a woman's "a-spot," and I haven't been able to find any information about it to give them. I'm always suspicious at the "discovery" of "new" parts of women's genitals, but I am trying to figure out where the term comes from so I can answer questions (or debunk myths, as the case may be). |
Hi Betty!
I'm a sex educator who recommends your books and videos on a regular basis -- it's such important work!

Hi Dorian,Glad to hear there are some sex educators questioning all these new spots that further confuse female sexuality.
I have never heard of a woman's "a-spot" unless it might be her asshole. I wouldn't bother to find it's origin either. I'm constantly criticizing the g-spot on my site for all the misinformation it has fostered, so this is just another stupid spin off on spots. What an awful concept. Even the clitoris doesn't respond if you stay in one spot. So I say debunk this new one quickly.
A woman's primary sex organ is her clitoris, and I believe she's the one who knows how she likes it to be stimulated. If not, she needs to learn.
Keep in touch. Betty
