before after Hi Betty,I had a clitoral hood reduction and labiaplasty. It was a huge mistake to say the least. The Surgeon actually repositioned the clitoris. I feel very uncomfortable as if my clitoris is tied up and being strangled. I know the clitoris is a bundle of nerves and having it constricted in this way is causing my entire body to feel stressed out and overwhelmed. What can I do? Julia |

Dear Julia
before afterAlthough I am not usually a litigious type, I'd slap a malpractice lawsuit on this doctor so fast it would make his dick shrivel up. You need to see a couple of other doctors and get their opinions. Although I don't know what part of the country you live in, if you could locate a women's center near you and alert them to your problem, they might have suggestions. I'm forwarding your email to several women doctors here in NYC and Boston. Like most cosmetic surgery, labia plastic surgery for the most part is totally unnecessary. Unfortunately many women lack visual information about the vast range of vulvas. We are too easily brainwashed into thinking there is something wrong with the appearance of our sex organs and we end up worrying that our boyfriends or husbands won't find us sexually appealing because we don't look like the women in X rated videos. Write a letter to Oprah and go public. Your story needs to be told so other women can avoid this kind of surgical horror. Please keep me informed of any further developments.
