For the last 3 months, when I get aroused and at the time of my orgasm. I have this pain. its like a cramp, or a contraction type pain. I never have pain with penetration. It's just when I get aroused, and masturbate. Or when my hubby is touching me to give me an orgasm. Any ideas of what could be causing this ?

Hi Betty,

I'm 37 years old. I have always had clit orgasms. For the last 3 months, when I get aroused and at the time of my orgasm. I have this pain. its like a cramp, or a contraction type pain. I never have pain with penetration. It's just when I get aroused, and masturbate. Or when my hubby is touching me to give me an orgasm. Any ideas of what could be causing this ??? Please help.

Dear Kim,

Some women have uterine contractions when they climax but they are seldom described as painful. Are your orgasms bigger than usual lately? When I had a new lover after my divorce at 35, I started to experience bigger and better orgasms and I recall getting a few sharp pains, which eventually went away. I figured they were caused by fully activating all my sexual plumbing.

If these "cramps" don't keep you from enjoying a climax, I'd just observe them. Chances are they will disappear. Otherwise if they continue or prevent you from enjoying sex, you might want to see a GYN. Also you might want to check out OBGYN.NET (read the review of site in HOT SEX LINKS).

However, doctors don't always have the answers to sex questions. So first ask yourself a series of questions. Have you made any changes in diet? Are you constipated? Is having sex with hubby a pain? What is going on in other areas of your life that might be "a pain." You get the idea. Let me know what you discover.

Betty
