Dr Betty,
I never heard of you but happened to stumble on to your website and what a website it is. People really speak their minds about anything so I guess I'm going to ask you a question. This is an embarrassing admission but perhaps you could tell me if my fantasies are normal or if I should consider seeking professional help. On your web site I have read about how people into their 80's continue to enjoy sex which I found very surprising. I have had this fantasy for many years but never acted on it out of fear that I would either be doing something illegal or that I was just plain sick.
The fact of the matter is I just turned 50 and I'm not happy about it. In any case I have always had a fantasy of having sex with a woman who is in her eighties, especially to give her oral sex. I know it sounds bizarre and I don't know if anyone ever expressed this to you before. Even if it were to happen, I don't have a clue as to how to find an older woman who would be willing to have sex with me simply to satisfy a fantasy. To make matters worse, I occasionally visit sites which specialize in VERY mature women.

Dear Anon,
Your fantasy is not all that bizarre and the only thing wrong with you is your obvious lack of information and imagination when it comes to sex and ageing. I've had much younger men than you ask about the same thing. Many older woman get offers for sex to satisfy a category of men that I now call "Granny Chasers."
Frankly, as a woman in her late seventies, I'm flattered rather than offended when a much younger man offers himself for my sexual pleasure. Unfortunately I don't have time to oblige them but it's always a nice thought. Now, get over yourself, go make your fantasy come true and then tell me all about it. You might want to read my book "Orgasms for Two" where I talk about my intergenerational relationship with a man 47 years younger than me. We've been together now going into our ninth year.
